Job Description
- Purpose and Scope:
- To provide efficient support within the team, working flexibly to ensure services are delivered in line with the standards and objectives of Deaf Connexions and Rotary House. There will be times when you will be working independently, managing the office.
- Accountability:
- Report to the CEO and Deputy Manager.
- Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day contacts, phone calls, and emails.
- Provide efficient reception service to telephone and personal callers.
- Assist with triage and provide information to D/deaf tenants attending clinics at Rotary House.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with procedures.
- Assist with general office duties and health and safety checks.
- Take and process accurate messages.
- Process and input data related to clients and resources.
- Assist in maintaining confidential records and filing systems.
- Undertake data input tasks.
- Assist with monthly accounting.
- Participate in staff development and training as appropriate.
- Undertake other duties as required from time to time.
- Essential Skills:
- Good communication skills and fluency in BSL to a minimum of BSL Level 3 standard.
- Experience working with the Deaf Community.
- Good IT skills with knowledge of M365/Apple.
- Experience with Excel.
- General office skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience or qualification in office skills.
- Experience in office work.
