About the Role
We are looking for an organised, creative, and enthusiastic individual to join our team in a unique combined role. This post brings together three key areas of our work: coordinating BSL and training courses, delivering high-quality British Sign Language teaching, and supporting our marketing and engagement activities.

What You’ll Be Doing
Training Course Coordination
- Plan, schedule and coordinate a variety of BSL and training courses.
- Manage learner bookings, enquiries, attendance and course materials.
- Liaise with tutors, venues, and learners to ensure smooth delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and support quality assurance.
BSL Tuition
- Deliver engaging BSL lessons to individuals, groups or organisations.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments.
- Support learner progress and promote Deaf awareness.
Marketing & Communications
- Support the creation of social media content, email campaigns and promotional materials.
- Help update the website, course listings and announcements.
- Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns and community engagement.
- Represent the organisation at events and outreach activities.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Essential
- Proficient in BSL (minimum Level 3).
- Experienced in teaching or tutoring BSL.
- Highly organised with strong administrative and coordination skills.
- Confident using digital tools (Microsoft Office, CRM systems, social media).
- Creative, proactive and able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Friendly, approachable and committed to supporting learners.
Desirable
- BSL Level 6 or native BSL user.
- Teaching qualification (AET Level 3 or equivalent).
- Experience with marketing platforms and content creation (Canva, Mailchimp, etc.).
- Experience working within the Deaf community or education/training sectors.
