This is a key role focused on helping learners achieve accredited qualifications in BSL Levels 1, 2 ,3 and beyond, and promoting greater awareness of deaf culture and communication.

This is a predominantly remote role. However, occasional travel to our London office may be required for team meetings. Additionally, there may be some in-person training delivery within a reasonable distance of your home location, depending on operational needs.

If you would like to join TeamRAD, please get in touch!

What you will be doing:

  • Plan, deliver and assess BSL courses and Deaf Awareness training to a wide range of learners
  • Support learners’ progression through qualifications with tailored coaching and feedback
  • Create and maintain engaging, accessible training materials in line with internal quality standards
  • Collaborate with the team to promote RAD’s training offer to organisations, employers, and the wider community
  • Contribute to ongoing course development, learner onboarding, and evaluation processes

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified BSL teacher with current experience in delivering BSL Level 1–2 (essential, Level 3 desirable)
  • BSL Level 6 qualification, or equivalent native fluency
  • Experience working within the deaf community or deaf education sector
  • A recognised teaching/training qualification (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for accessibility, inclusion and deaf advancement

Why join RAD?

  • Be part of a team that celebrates and advocates for deaf culture
  • Deliver training that truly makes a difference
  • Flexible working and ongoing professional development
  • Inclusive and values-driven workplace

We provide excellent training and development, prioritise colleague wellbeing and are keen to attract people who can work independently, but who also enjoy being part of a team that can support each other to achieve great outcomes for the people who we support.

This role comes with a life assurance benefit (after probation), generous pension and 30 days annual leave (FTE & Includes Bank Holidays).

If you would like to complete your supporting statement in BSL, please include a video clip with your application (this is not essential).

The application form is an essential part of the selection process and must be completed. Please complete it as fully and accurately as possible. We will also accept your application form should you wish to submit this in BSL.
