Salary:                                  Grade 7 (Leics Scale: 11-14)
Contract:                             28.75 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Belvoirdale Primary School (Good Ofsted, November 2023) in the heart of Coalville, is seeking applications for the position of a Communication Support Worker (CSW) to support a deaf child (year four) who is beginning to use British Sign Language (BSL) to communicate. Belvoirdale is a caring and inclusive school, where pupils, staff and parents/carers are valued. This is a specialised role with the following requirements.

 

Required:

  • A BSL qualification to at least BSL level 2 (or equivalent experience)
  • Be enthusiastic and flexible and have the ability to develop the skills to gain further qualifications if required
  • Be able to work effectively as part of primary school classroom team
  • Be able to understand and support the teaching and learning of all pupils including those with SEND across the primary curriculum
  • Be able to communicate effectively with home and school
